The primary mission of the Morganfield Fire Department is to provide superior, efficient and reliable fire protection and suppression service to the citizens and guests of the City of Morganfield on a nondiscriminatory basis in an effort to protect their lives, property and the environment. The Morganfield Fire Department will accomplish this mission through fire suppression, fire prevention, preparation training, public education, community risk reduction, medical treatment through timely emergency and non-emergency response. The Morganfield Fire Department will maintain the highest level of readiness, enabling delivery of fire fighting, rescue functions and emergency medical treatment in a safe, competent and caring manner.
The Morganfield Fire Department will work closely with the Legislative Body of the City of Morganfield to ensure equal and fair protection to all citizens and guests of Morganfield. By providing such protection and coverage, the Morganfield Fire Department hopes to build strong relationships in the community and assist in providing lower homeowner insurance class protection ratings. The Morganfield Fire Department will strive to never jeopardize the safety of the public nor its membership in an uncalculated manner while performing the tasks associated with our mission. The Morganfield Fire Department will provide a stable and trained membership of career and volunteer firefighters that are prepared to respond when needed. All firefighters are expected to participate in trainings and community projects related to our tasks. The Chief Officers of the Morganfield Fire Department will assist local, state, and federal investigating agencies in relation to fire incidents within our community.
The Morganfield Fire Department will strive to provide excellent public education programs for fire prevention and safety to schools, civic organizations, and exhibit events. The Morganfield Fire Department will keep on hand brochures, videos, and other materials that can be used to relate the importance of fire safety and prevention. Public exhibitions will continue to be used to allow the citizens to see the effectiveness and preparedness of the department and become acquainted with the department’s operations and available equipment.
